Butze

Bookmark and Share
Owner: Kari & Shawn
Breed: Jack Russel/Beagle/?/Awesome
Found: Butze was found by a fireman, tied up on a stake in the ground outside New Aiyansh in northern BC and was thought to be a pack dog. She was brought into the SPCA in Prince Rupert. At that time she was emaciated and terrified. She was so skinny her back legs kept popping out of their sockets. She was in a kennel that had an inside area and an outside and she was so scared of people and other dogs that she stayed outside, in the pouring rain. And yet out of this she grew into an amazing, smart and loving little pup. Butze is now living the high life in BC.
Nicknames: Baby girl, Bear
Favourite food: Cheese Favourite things: Her green ball
Quirky traits: Butze is high energy and yet is also the lazy, cuddly sleeper in the house. On an average Saturday Butze will sleep until 11 and will snuggle under the blankets with her people to make us stay in bed and laze around too. Butze is the ultimate teacher of relaxation. Swimming is always fun for Butze but she also knows that if it is raining outside we should all just stay in and read some books in bed/on the couch.
Siblings: Her sister Flannery
Who helped: BC SPCA- Prince Rupert Branch

The American Humane Association estimates that 9.6 million animals are "destroyed" in the US every year (The Humane Society of the US estimates 3-4 million). That's 3-9.6 million... minus 1 (yours).

Thank you for opening your home and your heart to an animal that needed one.

I look forward to reading your stories!
